Prof QORRAJ is Jean Monnet Chair of EU Integration, an eminent teaching post promoting excellence in EU studies. His education background is European as he obtained his MA in Economics of International Trade and European Integration from a Consortium of six European universities (Staffordshire University, UK, University of Antwerp and Free University of Brussels, BE, University of Bari, IT, Prague University of Economics, CZ and University of Santander, ES) and his PhD from University of Ljubljana. He is now Professor of EU studies.
Prof. Qorraj has also been actively involved at international level, having taught as guest lecturer at Cambridge University 2013, University of Pisa 2014, University of Sorbonne 2015, and University of Zagreb 2017. He has a distinguished public service experience on EU integration issues. From June 2005 until February 2008 he was the Kosovo National Coordinator of the Stability Pact for SEE and Adviser of two successive Prime Ministers of Kosovo on EU integration Issues. During 2006-2007 he was also the Co-Chair of Kosovo Delegation in CEFTA 2006 Negotiations regarding regional integration. He was coordinator and contact person in several EU projects such as Tempus, Jean Monnet and ERASMUS + Projects. Since 2015 he has been the National Contact Point for Marie Curie actions and European Research Council at HORIZON 2020- EU research and innovation programme.
He has also been appointed twice to the very prestigious Jean Monet Chair of European Integration by the European Commission in 2011 and 2019.
